Revolution 2020-Love,Corruption,Ambition

Being in love with reading for the past ten years,and a great fan of Chetan Bhagat for 4 years actually provoked me to get Revolution 2020 on the day 1 of its release.Thanks to flipkart.com for its fast and easy access.Its the first book I bought in my own money, feels so special to hold it in my hands.

                   

So the book, It revolves around 3 childhood friends,Gopal,Raghav and Aarthi.Obviously a triangular love story.The quote,"Love is a great feeling,only when it is returned" makes a lot of sense.Gopal is pictured as a ambitious guy,who has suffered a lot by the current education system,family background and relative's selfishness.Raghav is a guy  who is very determinat,values values and follows his passion.Aarthi is the confused girl,confused between friendship and love and proves the point- when it comes to relationships,if a girl is confused it means the house is on fire!

Love Chetan's way of understanding a girl,about exactly pointing out girl's thoughts.How exclamatory marks are predominant in their texts,their pauses between the chats,and lot of other stuffs like wat a girl thinks wen a guy says something.Like his previous book,the girl  drives the story.
How people get into situations that they give into the corrupt system is very smartly pictured.The current educational system's loop holes,the political system's ineffeciency and corrupt nature is depicted wonderfully.

Even if you murder some 100 people and if you are an Indian politician the maximum punishment you recieve is to be held up in an AC room,with TV,food from any top 5 star hotel and a Police Constable to serve you.Chetan never mentions this as a blackmark of the society,he just brings light on to "this is what is happening here",left for us to decide.

The climax of the book,the coscience of gopal in the form a poor small  boy ant the change in the script is well-plotted and for sure needs appreciation.Understanding people,description of characters and unexpected humour at unexpected times and depiction of the miserable  Life at Varanasi -"the place which removes everyone's sins"are the plusses.

He has also pointed out how education has become a business today.People literally sell education in a discount.Stunningly pointed out.The truth is supposed to reach the people via media..Newspaper taking the major share,what happens if it is corrupted.?This is amazingly pictured .A lot of Chetan's humour sense is missing.But Revolution 2020 is definiterly not an usual rom-com,it surely is a seed for Revolution.I dont know if we are going to make it by 2020 but it definitely lies in the hands of each one of us !

With Anna Hazare's intense Ahimsa way of fighting against corruption around,Chetan has proved again "Pen is mightier than sword".Everyone has got to do his bit toward the country's well being.Chetan has!, Now its upto the readers Are We Going to?A change cannot happen overnight,but every thousand million journey starts with a first step and Chetan has asked each one of us to take our first step.

Looking out for a Change.

It has been long since I really posted something.I have thought one million times to write something, all those times,I dint feel like doing it.Well you know, you always will want to do the stuff which you love the most when you feel you are right.It's okay to have a break,if you are really confident of doing something ain't  it?So here is my new style of writing.
[This is a real life incident that i came across,people please donot mistake me ]
Today,I happened to talk to a distant relative of mine,I always knew that he is a different kind of person,but wasn't prepared for a face to face argument with him.One of my friends needed a rented house in Velacherry and this guy sure knew the place well.So I was left to discuss about the possibility of getting a rented house there.Only midway through the discussion did I recognize that I could have better had a conversation with Anaconda in Parseltongue.
Me:Hi,How you?

X:Yea,Yea good,U?

Me:Me 2,I actually need your help for one of my friend.

X:With Pleasure,How can I help you?

I din know poison can be sweet initially
Me:There is this school  friend of mine,he is new to the place,can you help him find a rental house?

X:He is not a Tamilian,Is he?

God,from when did this become the base criteria?
Me:Well, he is a Malayali.

X:Oh,I will help only a Tamilian,never any others.

dude are u kidding,?I ve heard of racist,but what is this statist or languagist?
Me:Hey common!You are joking,Are we all not Indians.?

X:India,its a country?it doesnt exist,we are going to fight for a separate country.

this cant go serious any further,i jus got a doubt if  i actually asked him for a help for a rented house or asked him his daughter's hand for wedding.
Me:Okay,listen,I think we both differ a lot in principles and ideologies.Now can you help me with this or no?

X:wait wait,I ll help you,but you need to correct yourself,know what is right and wrong.America is a united nation,you know why,they have one language,not one million.like India,we have only corruption,you as a citizen donot have any say here.

whoa,whoa,where are you leading this to.I was about to continue the conversation with the details before he put that out.
Me:Well I think we are supposed to feel proud fa being a country with 28 states,more than 20 languages and still being able to stand alone as a single nation.A single state can never stand alone,we need wheat and barley from north and they need cotton and rice from the south.Ours is a great National Integration.When we are watching India -Pakistan or India-Australia cricket match we are all Indians,and when the match is over what are we,Keralites,Tamils,telugus and what else?

X:no no you are wrong....

Me:Wait,Am sorry am not into the conversation any more,can you tell me the details.
I seriously felt like disconnecting the call and leaving it off,why do a few people still think that the hare they caught has only 3 legs.I dont have any idea about politics,but I strongly believe that no one has go the right to complain unless and until they are perfect.This is total bullshit.We are the younger generation of our country,it is high time we stop complaining our government about its corruption .Ofcourse there is corruption, who told no,whatever government comes to ruling one that doesnt change is corruption,but there are lot more positives too,the public transport that we have got,it reaches everywhere,consider chennai,we have got great traffic services,they are still trying to make it better.How many of us donot litter our public places?,how many of us pay the tax without complaining?I dont think each of us shoul go get a Nobel or Oscar,but we can stop complaining and do something better for our country.There are a lot of people out there who really need help,we could help them and next instead of watching a cricket match or a movie in CD we could actully think,make a proper decision and vote for the worthy guy. 

[P.S. The guy told me he will help me after  agreeing to the point that kerala was once a part of TamilNadu..,Whatever,but am not going to depend on him]
